A glittering night to help protect our oceans
In early June, Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal hosted the inaugural Sapphire Project for ocean protection Gala Dinner, supported by LSH Auto Australia.
Held on UN World Oceans Day, the glittering evening raised over $1.25 million to be donated to five key programs focusing on preservation of the Great Barrier Reef
More than 350 guests heard from renowned ocean conservationists and scientists about the need to protect our oceans, in particular the natural wonder that is Australia’s unique maritime environment.
Special guest included Olympic swimming champions, Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim and Giaan Rooney, who also acted as MC for the evening.
LSH Auto Australia’s support of The Sapphire Project is another demonstration of the company’s commitment to being a valued community participant and to environmental sustainability.
