This it does in spades, as the mid-size SUV now rates among the best in its category. Yet the bigger Tiguan retains the many positives of the original: Car-like handling, strong performance, quality ride and a spacious, comfortable and high-class interior. The second-generation Tiguan, as before, is available in 2WD and AWD form and comes with a choice of four engines: 110kW/250Nm 1.2-litre, 132kW/320Nm and 162kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrols and a 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel.
